I’ve been involved in the medical beauty and spa world for most of my professional life.
I started out in Marketing, with a degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. I’ve worked with some of the top ad agencies in LA before deciding to launch my first venture. In 1999, Light Speed Laser first opened its doors for business.
I started small, with a single hair removal machine. But, all those years spent working in marketing helped me to morph the saloon into the largest laser and Botox facility in the country.
Light Speed Spa’s success encouraged me to explore new avenues to grow the business. I noticed a vacuum in the marketplace for a comprehensive facility that combined the innovation of medical beauty with the luxury of a spa. This vacuum was the inspiration for the Blue Medi Spa brand. So, Light Speed Spa became Blue Medi Spa in early 2003.
The reason I created Blue Medi Spa was that I wanted to deliver a never-before experience that fuses science and innovation with aesthetics and customer experience. From the off, I had highly-qualified medical professionals and cutting-edge solutions working side by side to deliver the kind of service I believed was needed in the industry.
It sounds evident now, but it was innovative then. When I started Blue Medi Spa, the industry looked different than it does today. But, I believed that the spa world needed to move forward. Blue Medi Spa was created on the belief that what people wanted from the spa & beauty industry didn’t exist, and my dream was to create a brand that combined the innovation of medical beauty with the comfort of a spa under one roof.
Today, I am proud to say that Blue Medi Spa is the largest medical spa of its kind in the nation and a powerhouse in the industry. We’ve been graced with the cream of LA’s social elite, from jet-setting socialites to celebrities and starlets.
I think about Blue as an upscale lifestyle brand. So, I try to match its ambience to the refined aesthetics of its clientele. The ambience is essential to mood. We notice when something grabs our attention but are not aware of how powerful the effect is. With a retro-futuristic look, Blue’s atmosphere is complemented with neon-lit walls, dramatic cutouts, and amoeba settees.
I see myself and the team I’m working with as guardians of my clients’ well-being. Modern life can take a toll on their happiness and inner peace.
